At NutriCenter, we are committed to providing natural food products beneficial to people's health and well-being - that also taste delicious! We are official distributors of proprietary acai food products manufactured in Brazil.
Being proud Brazilian natives, we noticed an inconsistency in the quality of the açaí products that have recently been flooding the North American market - and decided to do something about it. Sourcing the purest, highest-grade açaí and collaborating with harvesters and manufacturers across Brazil, we have no doubt that the taste of our products alone is the reason for their popularity and demand. We also saw a complete lack of açaí-based snack products and seized the opportunity to create a healthy bar using açaí and other fruits!
How We Work
We have carefully selected our Brazilian partners based on the integrity and quality of the acai and production process used. We have chosen acai that is wild-harvested, certified organic and non-GMO project verified.
The Amazon is rich in vegetation that can be sustainably harvested by local farmers, however negotiating with large companies can be difficult for these farmers. We have selected partners who make sure their farmers get a fair wage for their work and then handle all of the logistics of international trade, connecting indigenous farmers of the Amazon with companies of the world.
Where We Work
We are headquartered in vibrant Miami, Florida, a bustling gateway between the United States and Latin America. We supply our products to both the food service and retail industries, and our products can be found in a variety of juice bars, restaurants and cafes as well as hotel eateries and gift shops in South Florida. We continue to grow organically and welcome partnerships and opportunities with those companies and individuals who share our vision for a healthier, happier world.
At the forefront of conscious eating is the Açaí berry - one of the healthiest berries in the world. It is an indigenous berry commonly found in the rain forests of the Amazon, and is considered a “superfood” - a fruit or vegetable that has extra-large doses of vitamins and minerals that are proven to contribute to a longer, healthier life.
The Açaí berry grows as a wild plant on top of palm trees in the Amazon rainforest, with the berries being harvested by local farmers and used to make a nutritious fruit pulp. The acai berry is 90% seed, and only 10% is an edible skin - which is ground with water into a thick puree and is a staple food across Brazil.
Acai is naturally low in sugar. The flavor of the açaí berry is reminiscent of a rich blackberry or raspberry, slightly tart yet sweet, and has an aftertaste similar to dark chocolate.
The total market of açaí product sales in the U.S. is estimated at over $200 million. The U.S. is the major importer of açaí, where it is sold in many natural products such as frozen fruit pulps, juices, smoothies, capsules, powders, energy bars and granola.
